Song of the day: Tune-Yards Bizness
I saw Tune-Yards at Pitchfork with some friends before I was really into them and I KNEW this song sounded familiar. I couldn’t figure out why and just now realized (after I’ve been obsessively listening to their album Who Kill for 2 weeks) that I saw the video weeks a go. Problem solved.
In conclusion, this is one of my new favorite songs and the video is super weird and awesome.
As I mentioned I’ve been looking for the perfect gold stud and these Halleh ones are it. Unfortunately, they’re sold out on Net-A-Porter and pretty hard to locate anywhere else. Halleh also doesn’t sell in any retail stores in NY or Chicago- what’s with that?
Ok I have a serious girl crush on Emma Stone. While I 51% want to see Crazy Stupid Love for Ryan Gosling, the other 49% is for Emma. She looks great is this color blocked Giambattista Valli outfit. I have color blocking ambitions but just haven’t found a way to look this cool in it.

I’ve been browsing for the perfect gold studs (delayed 21st birthday present…) when I came across these Erickson Beamon earrings. Now, I know the company has been around for a long time but these are just so modern and fun. I love the idea of a simple summer outfit with these earrings. What’s even better is that unlike most things on the Barney’s website they’re not exorbitantly expensive. The combination of the chains, crystals, and colored stones is just perfect.
Little song/video of the day action. This is one of my favorite music videos and has been for about two years now. I like that instead of the video being the art medium, Marina acts as the medium herself. Most of her videos are quirky and worth watching.
If it wasn’t clear before, I love boots. I feel the way most women feel about heels about boots because I can actually stand and enjoy myself in them for more than 28-32 minutes. I LOVE both these Chloé and Miu Miu pairs. Not in my price range, but a girl can dream…
I had seen the Alexander Wang zipper sunglasses (the tortoise ones) and liked them in theory but also knew that I’d look like a giant tool face wearing them. Lo and behold, I just stumbled across these gold ones on shopbop with just the zipper detail on the side. It definitely takes the tool face factor down and they actually are super chic. I’m not really in the market for a new pair of sunglasses as the summer is winding down and I do love my trusty Ray Bans. Nonetheless, really liking the idea of these.
